Student Mentorship & Atelier Access
Lievik Atelier offers a dedicated mentorship program and workshop access for students of Craft, Product Design, Fashion, Interior Design, Architecture, and other creative disciplines who seek to transform their ideas into well-crafted physical objects.
Developing a design is only the beginning. One of the greatest challenges in the creative process is translating a concept into a feasible object through the right materials, construction methods, fabrication techniques, and finishing processes. Many projects encounter obstacles during production, where technical limitations begin to shape design decisions. At Lievik Atelier, we provide guidance to bridge this gap by helping students refine both the design and the making process while preserving the integrity of their original vision.
Whether for studio assignments, prototypes, competition entries, or final thesis projects, participants are welcomed to work within the atelier under professional guidance for an agreed period of time. Depending on the project's needs, students may access workshop facilities, specialized tools, and technical consultation throughout the production process.
Rather than functioning as a rental workshop, the atelier serves as a collaborative making environment where knowledge, craftsmanship, and problem-solving are shared through direct mentoring and hands-on practice.
Each project is assessed individually. Workshop and mentorship fees are determined by the complexity of the work, the techniques involved, the level of technical assistance required, and the duration of atelier use. Project scope, schedule, and pricing are discussed personally prior to the commencement of work.

Kundur Blossom Brooch is a product design studio project inspired by the kundur flower, a native botanical species from Riau and Jambi, Indonesia. Reinterpreted as a contemporary wearable object, the brooch combines silver-plated brass with Pamor Wos Wutah. Its fabrication involved an intricate sequence of hand-forged metalsmithing techniques, including hollow forming, floral forming, and multiple stages of precision soldering to achieve a seamless three-dimensional composition.

This collection is a fashion accessories project consisting of two necklaces crafted from Pamor, copper, brass, and sterling silver 925. Inspired by the philosophical bond between a mother hen and her chicks, the collection explores themes of protection, guidance, and kinship through stylized organic forms. A central focus of the project is the exploration of innovative locking mechanisms, where the clasp becomes an integral part of the design rather than a hidden functional element.
