ABOUT US
Lievik Atelier was initiated by three artists: Raditya Mahardhika, Eldine Syifa, and Armand Rafif. All of whom share a passion for metalworking art and have been exploring metal materials to create artworks and products in recent years. Lievik Atelier serves as an incubation space for metal artists to develop their expertise in metal processing and to produce products such as jewelry, home decor, and other forms of art. Moreover, Lievik Atelier provides a workspace for those who are interested in learning and exploring the use of metal materials based in Bandung, Indonesia.
VISION
Revival of interest in “Kriya”, specifically metal and the value of Pamor and ancient Nusantara’s culture.
TRANSFORMING
TRADITION
Lievik tried to apply the ‘Transforming Tradition’ concept by taking elements from the Nusantara metal tradition and adapting or evolving them to better suit contemporary contexts, needs, or preferences. This involves preserving the core values and essence of a tradition while updating its form or application to align with modern or changing circumstances. Hence, we could find a balance between honoring the past and embracing the future.
Producing and marketing handcrafted metal products represents a transformative approach aimed at preserving invaluable traditional practices and ensuring their longevity. Our products are deeply infused with philosophy, reflecting our commitment to showcasing Indonesian art and reinforcing Indonesia’s stature as a culturally significant and prosperous nation.
Lievik serves as a space for the incubation of metal artists or anyone working in the field of craft and art.
